Grown In Spartanburg

Greyrock Farms / Green Acres Produce

Visit a working dairy farm, the last family-owned one operating in Spartanburg county. The cows produce up to 2,000 gallons of milk a day which goes to PET Dairy, also located in the county. If you purchase PET milk from the grocery store, it probably has some milk from Greyrock Farms in it!

The Andersons have been farming this land for generations and the property was granted to them by the King of England. They have over 4 acres of strawberries, 500 head of cattle and pumpkins in the fall. Tours are led by the farmer for groups of 20 or more. This hour-long tour via wagon ride will take you into the strawberry field and see the milking of the cows. You’ll learn about planting and growing along with what goes on with the milking process.

In the store there are strawberries, blackberries, corn, cage-free eggs, jams and jellies, among other things. But the fun is outside on the playground. There is a converted combine that kids can climb all over plus lots of obstacles to tackle. The covered picnic area is perfect for a lunch break.

Pick-your-own strawberries or spend time with the cows, this working farm offers an experience the whole family will enjoy.
