Johnson Farms

There is plenty of fun to be had on this farm. A large playground, a gem mine, pedal cars along with seasonal events like hayrides, a corn maze and tractor rides with Santa make this a place where you could spend the day. You’ll like taking pictures of the kids out picking fruit, but you will probably enjoy the apple cider donuts even more.

Their rustic-looking store has jams, honey, fresh baked breads along with plenty of snacks for the kids like popcorn, nachos and peanuts. But apples are the real star here. Try the sliced apples with caramel and wash it down with cider. There is a large covered picnic area and an observation area that looks over the playground.

The tractor-pulled hayrides are a favorite way to see the farm. These guided tours take you along the Storybook Character Trail where classic storybook characters appear along the trail.

Discover fossils, gemstones and maybe even arrowheads at the largest outdoor gem mine in the Upstate. You keep what you find during this family adventure.
